General Duties & Responsibilities
- Interface with the Quality Assurance department to ensure parts quality and maintain the company’s quality control program.
- Implement and enforce the safety policy as outlined in the Safety Policy & Procedures Handbook.
- Enforce all company policy and procedures as outlined in the Associate Handbook.
- Understands and follows applicable EMS programs and work instructions.
- Understands and follows applicable QMS programs and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment by enforcing a policy of good housekeeping.
- Possess an understanding and working knowledge of all department machinery and equipment.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for prototype and repaired tool set-up and try-out prior to release to mass production.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Technical Services Coordinator for PPAP information and statistical studies for all new tooling and/or fixtures.
- Coordinate with the Engineering and Scheduling Departments on any design and/or specification changes.
- Perform, document and maintain a comprehensive tooling maintenance program, in conjunction with the Engineering Manager.
- Responsible to assign specific job duties to department associates during the shift. Includes second & third shifts if applicable.
- Insuring that all machine safety devices are deployed and in use prior to the start of the production process.
- Responsible for performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for tooling/fixture related problems.
- Insure department machinery and equipment is cleaned daily.
- Requisition needed materials, supplies and consumables in conjunction with the Purchasing Department.
- Work with the Production Scheduling or Engineering Departments to be on call if a production problem were to develop.
- Implement and maintain a continual improvement program, in conjunction with the Quality department.
