PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (SUMMARY)

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Communications & Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing the overall communication framework and content for both internal and external stakeholders; translating business strategies into key messages; developing appropriate communications initiatives in support of those strategies, and executing and driving programs that create excitement, drive engagement, align teams, and shape culture.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Credentials, Licenses:


B.A. or B.S degree in Communications, Public Relations, other relevant field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Bilingual in English and Spanish or Portuguese is a plus


Kind & Length of Experience:


3+ years of relevant communication and marketing experience
Experience in writing and editing marketing content (web & digital content preferred)
Experience with marketing and ad platforms like Hubspot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.
Hands-on experience with web content management tools, like WordPress
Managed branded social media accounts is required.
Proficient with SEO, Google Analytics, and HTML-based content management systems
Understanding of design and print production with ability to provide creative direction
Successfully executed communication plans
Thinks strategically while delivering tactical results
Proficiency in MS Office
Excellent presentation skills
Experience working with outside 3rd party marketing resources.
Bachelors degree in communication or equivalent experience is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Tradeshow management experience.
Ability to maintain and edit our company website.


PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS


Assist in creating a best-in-class internal communication function to stimulate employee engagement and support the culture through connectivity
Partner with the VP of Sales & Marketing to develop and execute annual marketing strategies and budgets.
Manage all external forms of digital marketing communications
Drive clarification, improvement, and execution of the communication framework throughout the company to ensure internal and external stakeholders obtain the appropriate message as a defined frequency.
Lead content management internally and through 3rd party marketing firm, where necessary, to ensure outward facing marketing materials are relevant, current, and reach the desired audience.
Develop communication methods and materials using a variety of methods (written, presentation materials, Microsoft Team's, SharePoint, and other platforms, town halls, small group meetings, etc.) to articulate key messages.
Ensure communication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate, and integrated throughout the company at the correct level for communal understanding.
Create social media framework to correctly utilize and target messaging on the relevant platforms with the correct frequency
Create appropriate messages on various social media platforms to reach potential customers, suppliers, and employees
Track ROI for B2C marketing campaigns
Use internal tools to maximize effectiveness and ensure consistent messaging, branding, imagery, and identity.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing internal employee events with promotion and messaging as needed
Plan and manage company presence at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
Develop and maintain inventory of sales support collateral and promotional materials.
Maintain a marketing calendar to include key events and campaigns
Create a glidepath for future consolidation of regions into a unified message and marketing approach
Assist in writing, editing, and distributing materials to share company updates, strategic initiatives, and impactful content for the company
Works with various departments to create and maintain content for employee communication and partners with the broader Marketing and IT teams to harness technologies where possible
Manage content for the global company intranet, ensuring it is up-to-date, engaging, and informative
Implement metric reports to measure effectiveness of internal communication channels with the goal of continuously improving the internal communication strategy to reach and engage employees.
Adhere to all environmental, health, safety, security requirements covered under local, state, and federal regulations
Maintain hazardous waste in accordance to all local, state, and federal regulations
Other duties as requested and/or assigned
