Position Overview
WHIO Dayton Radiois seeking a Part-Time Board Operator! Are you a studio pro? Do you know how to bring a live show together in real time? Do you have a vision for a creative audio experience and the technical chops to back it up? The ideal Board Operator acts like a conductor, moving sounds and audio elements in place to deliver compelling radio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operating audio controls and digital computer cart system
Screening phone calls
Running live and recorded talk shows, sports programming and music operations for weekend and overnight shifts.
Maintaining transmitter status of multiple sites
Coordinating newscasts
Recording, playback and audio routing for remote broadcasts and network studio events.
Running a radio control board, taking transmitter readings and other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/drug free/previous media experience helpful
Ability to take directions
Must be available to work nights and weekends
