Job Description
The Customer Marketing Co-op - Category Strategy in Consumer Brands Group (CBG) at Sherwin-Williams will be responsible for supporting the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of category data to inform the go-to-market strategy for brands like Valspar, HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams, and Dutch Boy. This includes supporting our sales, brand marketing, and product marketing teams to shape and execute a cohesive strategy
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Assist with the building and completion of Category and/or Product Reviews
Help identify Brand/Category opportunities at our retail partners
Support analytical needs of pre-determined sales teams
Interpret and communicate meaning from disparate data sources
Leverage multiple tech platforms to complete projects
Understand who our consumers are and what drives them
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
Current undergraduate student with a strong interest in Marketing Strategy
Preferred:
Have a concentration in one of the following areas: business, marketing, analytics, mathematics, statistics, research, sociology
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn
Organized, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize
Analytical and metrics-driven with a strategic mindset
Comfortable working in web based software and localized data systems
