In this role you will be responsible for achieving sales targets and growing ABB's market share for 880 series cabinet, module and multidrive AC and DC Drive solutions in ABB's System drives (MOSD) Division within the defined territory (we have six territories across the US).
The primary annual objective is to increase the spend of existing customers, attract new end-users and lead large opportunity pursuits to close that are aligned with the strategy of the local business. This is a highly versatile role where active target, pursuit and capture of key accounts will require engagement of and collaboration with various ABB business development professionals, including but not limited to Segment Managers, Industry Sales Managers and Channel Directors across the business. Tactical execution derived from the Division's Strategy will be critical to success. This is an active selling role; where planning, studying and measuring the landscape is only the beginning. Executing the plan, closing healthy business and driving growth are critical success factors.

Your responsibilities

Deploy sales process to understand account performance, including establishing annual budget by account/monthly order rate/gap to budget/time to quote/hit rate/key opportunities/customer key drivers to decision/key decision makers
Own CRM (Customer Relationship Management) utilization, opportunity/pipeline through all steps of the sales process; maintaining accurate updates through close of opportunity
Develop and close monthly forecast for assigned territory
Strong ability to sell value, solutions, performance, confidence
Year over year sales growth; meeting or exceeding budget;
Provide market level pricing feedback to market segment managers, high performance platform team, project proposals team, and local management team.
Build, maintain and execute on a 30, 90, 180 and 365 opportunity funnel with accounts
Provide monthly sales forecasts and specific reports on sales development

Your background

Bachelor degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR Associate degree and 12 years of relevant experience OR High School/GED and 14 years of relevant experience required
Maintaining residency within the defined region (unless approved by Executive leadership); travel minimum 40%
Comprehensive understanding of USA AC and DC Drives market, including related customers and competition
Eternally optimistic, positive and engaging attitude with an ability to mitigate and/or overcome barriers to growth
Goal/result-oriented mind-set with capability to identify new opportunities and translate these into executable action plans
Highly skilled at developing and growing relationships, from plant level to C-level
Structured and Process orientated (sales processes, tools, dashboard...)
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
