Job Description
Purpose:

The Digital Design Intern will create digital content that will support the Visa Risk and Identity Solutions and enhance the brand and overall customer experience. Will play a crucial role in creating assets and developing the product narrative for sales pitches and artifacts that effectively tell the Visa and Cardinal stories, while providing the best possible customer experience to our audience. This role will have a focus on both visual and narrative design.

Essential Functions:

Design and develop effective digital assets across multiple channels and applications - including but not limited to PowerPoint, site and social
Build out narrative and visual design for sales pitches that focus on product stories
Design collateral and assets for commercialization and content marketing
Catalog and maintain brand asset repository
Ensure that complex information is delivered and displayed in a simplistic and on-brand way
Follow design guidelines, best practices and standards
Incorporate creative and art direction from head of Marketing

Additional Responsibilities:

Partner internally with Product teams and externally with marketing agency as needed

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in design, visual communications, journalism, or computer science graduating after December 2024

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic experience in graphic design
Basic experience with UX/UI and responsive design
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Basic experience in storytelling / communications
Demonstrable design skills with a strong portfolio
Interest in technology and financial services
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS
Familiarity with ADA/WCAG compliance or other digital accessibility disciplines
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite: After Effects
An eye for visual storytelling and audience engagement
Ability to take complex technical topics and break them down into an easy-to-understand visual story
Ability to work on multiple projects and hit deadlines
Ability to collaborate with multiple teams
Ability to effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences
Team player with a strong customer-first mentality
Stays up to date on latest design trends, techniques, and technologies
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Strong interpersonal communication skills

Additional Information
U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY:The estimated salary for a new hire into this position is $20/hr- $22/hr USD which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Work Authorization: Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position. Future sponsorship will not be considered.

Work Hours:Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements:This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
