The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life inspires students to make a positive impact on their communities through leadership, scholarship, and service. Fraternity & Sorority Life has a long history of tradition and excellence at the University of Cincinnati. Since 1840, UC has been home to over 50 national fraternities and sororities, and more than 23,000 alumni have passed through our community. The current community has 42 active chapters withapproximately 2,500 members.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Fraternity & Sorority Life Program Manager will coordinate the management, design, and development of fraternity & sorority life programs related to community programing and leadership. The Program Manager will work directly with student leaders at the council and chapter level to support programming and chapter operations.

The successful candidate will draw upon the mission of the University of Cincinnati and the goals of the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life to design, manage, and evaluate programs that foster the growth and development of students through a variety of experiences. The Program Manager plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the team including completing other duties as assigned in support of the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life and Division of Student Affairs priorities.

Essential Functions

- Provide direction and advising to the Greek Engagement Board and honorary organizations

- Facilitate the implementation and tracking of the Greek Advancement Program (GAP)

- Coordinate the Greek Awards application process and plan Greek Awards ceremony

- Serve as a liaison to inter/nationally affiliated fraternity HQs and professional staff, including meeting and communicating with traveling, leadership, and chapter development consultants.

- Assist with the implementation of a leadership development program for fraternity and sorority undergraduate leaders including Future Greek Leaders

- Develop, implement, and assess senior member programming - Assist with the implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion programming.

- Advise the recruitment/intake processes, assisting with marketing and registration processes.

- Assist with community wide educational efforts including risk management/harm reduction and hazing prevention.

- Assist in the design and implementation of assessment mechanisms which elevate the effectiveness of programs and services offered by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.

- Assist in the development and monitoring of departmental budget.

- Maintain calendar, communications, and marketing materials, including digital and print publications (website, social media platforms, etc.).

- Coordinate council officer attendance at the Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values Central (AFLVC)/National Black Greek Leadership Conference (NBGLC) or similar student leadership development conferences, including registration, travel, and accommodations.

- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

- Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Required Education

- Bachelor's Degree.

- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

- Three (3) years of relevant experience

Additional Qualifications Considered

- Master's degree in college student personnel or other relevant discipline.

- Previous experience working with fraternity and sorority communities.
