The Director of HR Operations plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing our HR strategy with a strong focus on strengthening a centralized center of excellence for routine HR processes and transactions that leverages a comprehensive HR Information System (HRIS). The Director of HR Operations provides direction and oversight for the HR Shared Services and HRIS teams in addition to leading the overall HR data analytics and reporting strategy. The Director partners and collaborates with the overall HR team and infrastructure to drive consistent, standard, and optimized HR processes and leveraging internal resources like shared services, automation/technology and other tools aimed at increasing efficiency and accuracy. In driving an effective data analytics strategy, the Director ensures that both HR and business leaders have actionable information and insights to inform strategic decision-making. This is a new role for CBIZ, and we seek a proven leader with the capacity to shape how this position will bring value to the HR team and company as a whole. This role will contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives that align with our business objectives and drive organizational success.

This role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and is a member of the HR Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:
HR Shared Services (HRSS)
* Provides oversight and leadership for the HRSS team as part of a strategic effort to centralize and standardize HR processes companywide while delivering a more seamless HR experience for both our HR team and employees.
* In partnership with the HR Leadership Team, identifies HR processes to be centralized and then leads efforts to optimize operations including automation, self-service, and offshoring.
* Identifies opportunities to leverage offshore resources as part of the overall CBIZ offshore strategy to support HR operations.
* Provides essential support during acquisitions in onboarding new team members. Serves as a subject matter expert during due diligence, integration planning and ongoing execution.
* Monitors HRSS performance and regularly communicates feedback, changes, or needs to HR organization to support the overall process effectiveness and efficiency.
HR Information System (HRIS)
* Directs the management, enhancement, and integration of the HRIS (Oracle HCM) to support data-driven decision-making and to ensure compliance. Monitors HCM performance and ensures that HRIS is operational. Proactively identifies opportunities to leverage the HRIS in day-to-day operations.
* Leads the HRIS team including the prioritization of HCM projects or improvements and the planning for implementation of routine processes (for example, performance management and compensation).
* In coordination with the HR Leadership Team, leads annual initiatives focused on improvement of the HRIS including the introduction and implementation of new functionality, the automation or standardization of HR processes and procedures, and reporting.
* Collaborates with IT and other relevant stakeholders including the Oracle HCM vendor team to assess, select and implement innovative and effective HR technology solutions.
* Leads efforts to expand the use of employee and manager self-service company-wide as part of ongoing efforts to simplify, streamline and automate processes.
* Stays current on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve HR information systems and our use of these systems and related tools.
HR Data Analytics & Reporting
* Drives the development and implementation of a comprehensive HR analytics strategy to provide actionable insights for talent management, workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
* Establishes and enhances key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensures routine HR reports support these metrics including the workforce planning dashboard tool.
* Utilizes data-driven insights to guide strategic HR decision-making.

HR Administration:
* Builds, leads, and develops a team including team members and consultants to support a rapidly growing company. Develops and maintains personalized development plans for direct reports and identifies opportunities for professional and leadership development, experiential learning, and other opportunities to build and grow skills.
* Monitors and analyzes available HR capacity and shifts resources to address and respond to the needs of the business.
* Supports preparation of annual HR budget including investment priorities.
* Maintains HR policies and procedures and employee handbook and leads process of annual review and revision to keep current and aligned to best practice.
* Supports all aspects of the CBIZ company-wide succession planning process to ensure there is a strong pipeline of talent prepared to support the future needs of the business.
* Owns and manages external vendor and consultant relationships as assigned.
* Partners with the corporate communications team to communicate HR strategies and changes to enhance team member understanding and perceived value of human resources programs on an ongoing basis.
* Additional duties as assigned.

Ideal Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
* 15+ years advancing experience in support HR in a professional services environment. Industry-specific experience in financial services is preferred. Proven experience in talent management, organizational development, and HR process optimization.
* Proven ability to serve as a proactive and collaborative thought partner to the HR Leadership Team and their respective HR teams.
* Credibility and understanding of talent best practice and trends for the professional services industry. Ability to tailor best practice for CBIZ.
* Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, influential communications and to manage multiple projects and/or teams simultaneously while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to developing and growing a team, and proven ability to manage consultants and external vendors for execution.
* Working knowledge of current employment law and government regulations.
* Prior experience leveraging a comprehensive HRIS system for talent management purposes.
* Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills. Prior experience working with executive leaders, teams of cross-functional employees and multiple partners and stakeholders.
* Proven skill and understanding of change management with the ability to influence stakeholders with competing priorities and differences of opinion toward a common goal and solution, enabling decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
* Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in related field
* 8 years of experience in related field
* 6 years of supervisory experience
* Certification preferred
* Ability to manage deadlines
* Ability to work on multiple assignments and prioritize accurately
* Proficient use of applicable technology
* Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally (and externally as applicable)
* Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
* Must be able to travel based on department needs
