The team reports into Community Banking; however, they work across the enterprise to deliver a thoughtful LEP program.

Job Summary

The Limited English Proficiency Program Analyst will contribute to KeyBank's success by ensuring Key's translated products and services adhere to quality standards and are accessible and understandable to clients with limited English proficiency. The analyst will review and evaluate the quality of Spanish translations and other language assistance services provided by Key and our vendors. The analyst will also review LEP and Community Banking program data to generate client insights to inform business decisions and identify and report any issues, errors or areas of improvement related to language access, ensuring regulatory, compliance and reputational risks are identified and mitigated.

This analyst will work closely with the LEP Program Manager, Community Banking Programs Team, Fair Lending and Unfair, Deceptive, Abusive Acts and Practices (UDAAP) Teams, Marketing and Retail peers and management to collaborate in executing Key's LEP and Community Banking programs. They will leverage their Spanish language expertise, keen attention to detail and analytical abilities to influence the growth and direction of Key's Community Banking programs. It is essential this candidate be highly motivated, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and, most importantly, have a passion for delivering a solution that will benefit our clients and prospects with limited English proficiency while aligning to Key and Community Banking's strategy.

Responsibilities

Review and assess the accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of Spanish translations and other language assistance services provided by Key and our vendors. Ensure all Spanish translations uphold intended meaning, tone and nuance of the original content. Provide corrective feedback and suggestions to translation vendors.
Conduct quality audits and spot checks on various types of documents, such as disclosures, forms, notices, letters, brochures, web pages, etc., in Spanish.
Provide feedback and recommendations to improve the quality and consistency of language assistance services across the bank.
Assist in providing guidance to bank staff on language access resources.
Compile and provide internal client data to assist with building analytics, reports, and formulating client hypothesis.
Compile, evaluate and provide external market research to help inform business opportunities.
Provide simple analysis to support the production of client insights.
Review internal processes and research best practices and trends to identify and recommend process improvements.
Facilitate implementation of small initiatives in collaboration with support partners. Support the overall LEP Program design and implementation. Assist in project management, helping to ensure initiatives make it from idea to implementation.
Assist with preparing presentations to senior leaders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Translation, Linguistics, Data and Business Analytics or related field and/or equivalent work experience
Native or fluent proficiency in professional written and spoken Spanish, with a strong command of English.
Ability to conduct data analysis to create compelling Microsoft Power Point presentations.
Analytical, process management and conceptual skills
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Project management skills
Ability to collaborate and work effectively with support partners.
Understanding of financial products, e.g., deposit & credit products, investments, etc.
Detail oriented with a keen eye for linguistic and contextual discrepancies in Spanish and English
Oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in quality control or quality assurance of translations or other language assistance services
Prior experience in financial services
Knowledge of translation tools and software

Physical Demands

General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
