Essential Skills

• Be Servsafe certified
• Follow Irie’s strict standards for food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors to maintain ingredient quality
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Monitor and control food and labor costs, contributing to the overall financial health of the restaurant.
• Supervise all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring adherence to authentic Jamaican recipes
• Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and

efficient workflow

• Leading a diverse team of kitchen staff
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Ensure consistency in the preparation and presentation of dishes.
• Model reliability, professionalism and courtesy with guests during inquiries and during feedback; use interactions as a way to enhance dining experiences.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the restaurant or fast-casual

industry.

• Must have reliable transportation
• Passion for Jamaican cuisine and a deep understanding of its culinary

traditions.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Familiarity with inventory management and cost control.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
