Essential Skills
- Be Servsafe certified
- Follow Irie’s strict standards for food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors to maintain ingredient quality
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Monitor and control food and labor costs, contributing to the overall financial health of the restaurant.
- Supervise all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring adherence to authentic Jamaican recipes
- Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and
efficient workflow
- Leading a diverse team of kitchen staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Ensure consistency in the preparation and presentation of dishes.
- Model reliability, professionalism and courtesy with guests during inquiries and during feedback; use interactions as a way to enhance dining experiences.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the restaurant or fast-casual
industry.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Passion for Jamaican cuisine and a deep understanding of its culinary
traditions.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost control.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
