Basic Job Scope:

Expected Length of Internship:


This internship will be for the months of May to August - Summer semester
As an internship company, we allow flexibility to enroll in classes while working as an intern, as long as it doesn't interfere with the essential functions of the position.

Education/Experience:


Working toward a Bachelors Degree in Business with a concentration in Human Resources. Intern should be entering their Senior Year.
Program knowledge and exposure in the Field of Benefits Administration and Compensation is desired but not required.
Prior HR Internship in any HR discipline would be highly desired but not required.
First Solar encourages all interns to register their internship with their university.

Required Skills/Competencies:


Microsoft Office Skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good Analytical skills

Basic Internship Scope (Project):


Our Intern will assist the team by providing analytic and communication support for First Solar's Compensation and Benefit Programs for the US. This includes; Assistance with the completion of Salary Surveys and Job Profile creations, audit of benefit deductions against payroll registers, attend and assist at the weekly new hire benefits orientations, assist with the planning, communication and execution of our annual onsite health screenings and Wellness Fair activities. Our Intern will also have exposure to the development of our Benefits strategy for 2025 and system enhancements for our Compensation processes.
The main project that our Intern will be assigned will include assisting with the expansion of our Health Screening opportunities to spouses and the coordination of our annual onsite Health Fair.
Upon the completion of this internship, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team.
Estimated Salary Range: $13.75 - $18.00/hour
