Job Description

OhioMeansJobs|Cleveland-Cuyahoga County is sourcing for a Lead Teacher for a non-profit company throughout Cuyahoga County.

The Company is looking for Lead Teachers in several of our regional locations to administer licensed childcare programs. You'll create positive, nurturing relationships with children while facilitating cooperative interactions with their parents and caregivers. All this with the freedom to create adventures and have a lifelong impact!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Overall effective program management while ensuring adequate coverage and ratios.
  • Encourage children to explore, create, and make confident decisions.
  • Support each child's social and emotional development.
  • Establish positive and effective caregiver relationships.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment.
  • Plan, create and implement lesson plans and activities.
  • Maintain site records and submit regular reports.
  • Support the Site Director in ensuring state licensure compliance requirements.



Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Enrollment in degree seeking program preferred.
  • Minimum age 18 years old.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children in a licensed child care center, preschool, or school age environment, ideally with diverse populations.
  • Minimum 1 years' experience with all ODJFS licensing procedures and Step Up to Quality requirements preferred.
  • Within 30 days of hire must obtain Company required safety training and certifications.

  • Ability to drive between sites for assigned duties, trainings, or meetings.
  • Clear communication with students and caregivers
  • Walking, stooping, bending, and crouching at the child's eye level.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
