Job Description: Powell Electrical Systems Inc., located in North Canton, OH, has multiple full-time Electrical Assembler (Weekday Shift / Weekend Shift) openings.

The Electrical Assembler will perform various wiring tasks within the Electrical Assembly department.

• Learn and adhere to all safety policies and practices to avoid safety incidents.
• Learn and adhere to all manufacturing policies and practices to ensure consistent production.
• Ensure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Knowledge of air, hand, and electric tools.
• Ability to read prints including: specification sheets, wiring diagrams, wiring lists, and part drawings.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Electrical part installation, such as: relays, meters, switches, etc.
• Runs and bundles wires according to Powell standards.
• Lays out, installs, drills and taps devices onto doors and instrument panels.
• Wiring: anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, flagging, and wire tagging.
• Crimping.
• Wire/cable stripping.
• Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized.
• Lifting up to 25 lbs. frequently and 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Standing on ladder for 6-8 hours per day occasionally.
• Sit in a semi-enclosed space to perform work occasionally.
• Work overhead for extended periods of time frequently.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Details: Full time. Weekday Shift - Monday through Thursday, First Shift (6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Weekend Shift - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, First Shift (6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.). Weekday Shift - $16.00/hour. Weekend Shift - $18.56/hour.

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age.
