Job Description
OhioMeansJobs Summit County is partnering with a local manufacturer for a part time Production Team Member.
We make potato chips the way potato chips used to be made, small batch with simple ingredients. Based on our manufacturing process, it is important for all Production Team Members to work together. You will be given a specific task to start the day (such as potato inspector/sorter, quality inspector, or packer), but be expected to rotate into different roles as necessary. Must be able to work as an individual and as a team member. As a food manufacturer, maintains strict food safety guidelines as required by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. Typical working hours including Tuesday & Wednesday 8am to 5pm (open to discussion if interested in partial shifts). Often private label potato chip orders are received that require working hours Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Additional hours available to help clean as we breakdown equipment each week.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance, and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.
Work Environment:
Whild performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed tow work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid condition (non-weather) and vibrations.
