Job Summary




Are you a creative, curious, student looking to gain experience in UX Design? Join the software innovation and design team to help drive Medpace's software further forward in their mission to accelerate the global development of safe and effective medical therapeutics. This is a great opportunity if you are someone who wants to join a design team in the early stages of modernizing internally built software tools used in the clinical research process. You will design user experiences to translate complex workflows and regulatory requirements into UIs that are intuitive and delight our users, owning the process from the early-stage concepts all the way through delivery and success measurement. Working with a cross-functional team, you will perform experiments and shape our user experience strategy through collecting data and insights to drive the best UX.


Responsibilities




Lead and influence business-wide discussions relative to current user experience projects and the future direction of design and user experience;
Demonstrate an understanding of Agile / Lean UX methodologies;
Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups with detailed and scalable visual design specifications for web and mobile interfaces throughout the design process;
Leads research and evaluation of emerging design, technology, industry, and market trend;
Lead the design planning and strategic phases of a project. Proactively pitch new CX ideas backed by strong, well-articulated rationale; and
Deliver design solutions for problems of large scope and complexity. Work through ambiguity, and adapt your approach to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.


Qualifications




Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Visual/Communication Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or related field;
Availability to work 40 hours per week in our Cincinnati, OH office;
Graduating in December 2024 or May 2025, 3.5 GPA or higher;
Experience defining, developing and documenting UX design and interaction requirements;
Exceptional communication, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to lead and innovate across teams and organizations;
Demonstrated experience using strategy to solve complex problems;
Portfolio demonstrating user experience activities, processes, and deliverables;
Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Invision, Adobe CS, etc.
