Job Summary




Primary role is to run experiments, acquire and record data.


Key Duties




Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:

Support projects by conducting experiments, acquiring, and accurately documenting data.
Contribute to completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
Expected to grow and develop in this role and be able to draw conclusion from studies and design experiments.

Other duties as assigned:

Must have the ability to lift 20 pounds of supplies or finished product throughout the workday.
Must be able to concentrate, analyze and solve complex issues throughout the course of the workday
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (gloves, face shields/safety glasses, latex, or nitrile gloves, etc.).
Will be required to be fully gowned for performing tasks in a clean room environment
Must be able to adhere to applicable bio-safety practices when on the manufacturing floor or in laboratories.
Ability to stand, stoop, reach, push and pull throughout the course of the work shift.
Experiments may involve materials that are considered potentially biohazardous. Must be able to work with human substances such as blood.


Qualifications




Minimum Education or Equivalent ExperienceRequired/Preferred:

* Bachelor of Science degree required.

Competencies Required or preferred:

* Fundamental knowledge of biology and chemistry.
* Basic knowledge of laboratory skills such as buffer preparation and pipetting.
* Ability to handle clinical samples.
* Ability to work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab.
* Basic computer skills such as the working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to run planned experiments under supervision.
* Ability to discuss results from experimental data using sound scientific judgement to determine technical decisions with supervisor.
* Ability to document experimental results to GLP/GMP standards.
