Reports to the Financial Risk Governance Operational Risk Manager and is responsible for performing tasks associated with the monitoring, identifying, implementation, and maintenance of controls while also working to improve the operational effectiveness of processes within the scope of KeyCorp's Financial Risk Governance program on behalf of the Finance organization.

Support/lead activities and projects that achieve Finance Group Objectives and deliver value-added results to the Finance Organization

Support completion of the quarterly updates to the GRC Finance Risk Profile

Support/lead activities and projects related to internal (ex: RRG, Operational Risk) and external (ex: OCC, FRB) reviews of controls over significant business process RCSA controls. Or at the request of executive leadership or the LOB.

Support/lead activities and projects that create solutions to resolve control gaps identified and issues identified during internal or external reviews.

Support/lead activities and projects supporting other enterprise governance groups for Finance responsibilities related to the following, as appropriate:

Fraud

Cyber Security

Third Party Management

Business Resiliency

Operational Risk Committee (ORC)

Model Risk

Manage and complete other related responsibilities, as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BS, BA, BSBA degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Administration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

3+ years minimum work experience in risk mitigation/controls

Comprehensive and current knowledge of financial services industry Comprehensive and current understanding of Operational Risk

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong understanding of business processes (financial) to identify opportunities for control and process improvement.

Strong understanding of internal controls to ensure controls can be sustained by each process improvement.

Strong organizational skills

Ability to sell difficult concepts and issues * Ability to build and manage relationships

Ability to work with and resolve complex issues

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000 to $85,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
