Position Summary




This is a Casual position with Full Time Hours, including some nights and weekends.

We are an organization focused every day on improving peoples' lives in our community and across the world, this may be the position for you. Under the direction of the Regional Manager Donor Recruitment, this position performs assigned tasks and/or projects related to building brand awareness. This position assists with building awareness for our blood center and also campus territories. You will support our blood collection needs and help support inspiring new donors to join our mission. You will develop successful strategies to pursue new partnerships and create awareness and education for first time donors. This includes, but is not limited to: deployment of campaigns, various promotional events in the community and on campus; attend campus and community events as a brand ambassador; and various administrative duties including reporting on efforts and results. This position has the opportunity to continue throughout the academic year.


Responsibilities




Actively prospects and networks to continually add new, productive blood drive opportunities. - Shadowing blood drive process with new account build and calendar requirements
On-site recruitment as needed or required; hosts sign up tables and supports event drives, will include some evening and/or weekend hours
Create community awareness and development though social media outreach (establish relationships and post drive information)
Provides education and support for mission awareness - Prepares and conducts presentations to community groups
Develops and maintains relationships with community organizations and community advocates
Works with marketing/communications to identify blood drive programs and prepares content needed to support defined strategies
Meets project timelines, is organized and timely with follow up
Utilizes Pipeline tracker and keeps up-to-date contact information for key points of contact and interactions had
Maintains the customer service standards of the department and Versiti
Communicates clearly and respectfully with customers, donors and colleagues, sharing all necessary information
Works effectively with team members, contributing to team efforts
Supports Versiti's mission, vision, and values as well as department goals and objectives
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures


Qualifications




Education

Degree from an accredited college or university majoring in communications, business, marketing, or sales required.

Experience

Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
Experience with integrated HRIS/payroll systems required; experience with Ceridian preferred
Experience in a health care setting preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Ability to quickly and accurately understand instructions and then work independently on assignments
Ability to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals.
Detail-oriented to evaluate and ensure accuracy of data
Strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects
Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional commitment to customer service
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to write, interpret and explain information related to benefits
