Essential Duties and Responsibilities




Developing written plans and permit applications associated with state and federal programs for industrial stormwater discharges and oil pollution prevention (e.g., Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans; Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans;
Supporting projects involving due diligence with substantial historical research including ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments;
Supporting stormwater management, site characterization and remediation projects;
Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals; and
Developing task, project, and client management skills.


Education and Licensure




Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, environmental science, or related discipline. (required)
Advanced degree (M.S.) in environmental or civil engineering or environmental science. (preferred)
Appropriate registration or practice area accreditation in your field [e.g., professional engineer (P.E.)], or currently working towards certification.


Skills, Experience and Qualifications




At least 2 years (5+ preferred) of experience working in a consulting or manufacturing or industrial environment, with a working knowledge of industrial processes, and their impacts to the environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
Experience providing multi-media environmental compliance services, such as compliance assessments and audits. (required)
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental compliance, assessments, and plan development. (preferred)
Prior experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Office products. (required)
Experience with GIS and databases. (preferred)
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
