Job Overview

In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine's faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day.
The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is recruiting for a full-time (100% FTE) Visiting Scholar. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. Faculty at the University of Cincinnati are expected to teach, conduct research, scholarly and other professional or creative activities.
Essential Functions
Conduct research visits according to current protocol
Shadow faculty during their clinic hours, and enroll interested study subjects
Participate in journal club, grand rounds and protocol staff meetings
Mentor undergraduate students who are volunteering with the research project
Assist in organizing research encounters with patients involved in the Cincinnati Cohort Biomarker program (CCBP)
Lead the study evaluating the effect of orthostatic hypotension in Parkinson's Disease
Minimum Requirements
Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research evidenced by peer reviews and publications. Candidates for a tenured appointment should demonstrate intellectual leadership and impact on the field and potential significant contributions to the department, University of Cincinnati, and wider scholarly community
