What You Will Do

Join our team at Standex Electronics, a publicly traded company with a robust growth trajectory in the electronics component industry (high-volume | high-mix). We seek a motivated and experienced Channel Sales Manager with at least four years of proven success. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of channel sales dynamics, a knack for maintaining pricing integrity, and a collaborative spirit to work seamlessly across sales, marketing, and engineering teams. This role requires strong analytical skills for forecasting, including the ability to present forecasts to senior leadership and the capacity to adapt to evolving market trends to drive revenue growth and market expansion. Additionally, the Channel Sales Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for a network of distribution partners.



Volume Pricing Strategy and Margin Optimization


Implement pricing strategies that balance profitability with market competitiveness, continually analyzing margins and adjusting as necessary to maximize revenue.

Cross-Functional Collaboration


Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to align channel strategies with overall business objectives, ensuring consistent messaging and product positioning.

Forecasting and Demand Planning


Utilize historical data, market trends, and customer insights to develop accurate sales forecasts, effectively manage inventory levels, and anticipate demand fluctuations-present forecasts to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.

Performance Analysis and Reporting


Track channel sales performance against targets and KPIs, analyzing key metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive actionable insights for continuous optimization.

Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis


Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements, providing regular updates and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Training and Enablement


Provide comprehensive training, resources, and support to channel partners to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and overall effectiveness in driving customer engagement and satisfaction.

Customer Relationship Management


Act as a trusted advisor to channel partners, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the sales process.

Focuses on growing and developing new business


proactively calling and engaging partners to increase sales for assigned accounts and rebuilding or under-penetrated and neglected relationships with Standex customers.

Manages vendor special pricing programs


including submissions for pricing requests and any data or program dependencies, tracking requests for approval, logging all submissions and results, and notifying customers of any outstanding or expiring requests.
Serves as a liaison between Standex's internal resources (field sales, engineering, supplier marketing, manufacturing facilities, purchasing, and other corporate departments), vendor resources, and customers.



What You Will Bring


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in channel sales within the componentry and electronics industry, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong understanding of pricing strategies, margin optimization, and financial acumen.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, QuickBase, HubSpot) and advanced Microsoft Excel data analysis and reporting skills.
Proficiency with ERP Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Highly analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategies.
Proven ability to be a self-starter, grasp new concepts quickly, adapt to changing environments, and contribute effectively to team goals.
