LinQuest is seeking an Senior Operations Research Analyst to join our team in Dayton, OH. US Citizenship and an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance are required.

LinQuest is seeking a full-time Senior Operations Research Analyst to support the development of the Digital Transformation Environment (DTE) capability, an analytic capability to provide data-drive resiliency assessments by identifying and addressing constraints while optimizing resources. This capability is intended to assess theater-level logistics and sustainment feasibility of AF war plans.

The candidate will be an individual with experience analyzing data and developing key metrics and applications to evaluate current and future capabilities. The individual should also have knowledge of operations research techniques such as simulation and mathematical programming.

Duties and Responsibilities


Extract and aggregate data from multiple systems for analysis and metrics development
Create data visualizations to drive insights
Conduct studies to evaluate, inform, and improve decision-analytic models
Integrate data into probability statistics to identify trends or relationships among variables
Work and coordinate closely with government analysts
Translate work tasks into work requirements in support of client projects
Formulate new procedures and methods to answer questions, collect data, and assess projects
Apply knowledge of operations research, mathematics, and analytical techniques to assigned work
Understand and learn major functions of each technical directorate to communicate and coordinate study requirements effectively across the lab
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and professional developments to serve as technical expert on model simulations
Communicate standards and parameters to team members and project managers
Delegate special research tasks designed to utilize and enhance knowledge of work processes
Prepare briefings, papers, and summaries necessary to achieve organizational goals and objectives
Lead working groups and projects to analyze and identify areas for improved efficiency

Required Skills and Experience:


MS degree in operations research, mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience
Familiarity or previous experience working with the Department of Defense

Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply operations research methods, and procedures and recommend effective solutions

Advanced knowledge of applying scientific methods and techniques to analyze systems and software

Experience working with analytical models using software using coding languages such as Python, R and/or C++
Experience with one or more of the following: R, Python, SIMIO, Excel VBA, MATLAB, SAS and JAVA or JMP
Ability to identify and support development of key metrics and applications used to evaluate current and future mission capabilities
Motivation to seek out opportunities to improve processes and share knowledge with peers and analytic community
Willingness and initiative to share knowledge with peers and the broader analytic community
US Citizenship and an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Preferred Experience:


Active Secret clearance with ability to attain a Top Secret clearance
10-15 years of Air Force logistics/sustainment and simulation experience
Experience with SIMIO or similar simulation tool
