OTC Industrial Technologies is looking for an enthusiastic Accounting Intern to join our Accounting team this summer.
* Corporate Accounting Intern will:
Assist in the execution of daily and monthly accounting activities (e.g., prepare support for journal entries and GL account reconciliations).
Assist in the preparation of management's monthly variance analysis and summarize financial results vs. historical periods and forecast, as appropriate.
Assist with the implementation of process and control improvements.
Assist with the implementation and optimization of accounting tools and special projects.
Required Qualifications
Obtaining a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively
Strong organization / time management skills and ability to prioritize
Team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on new challenges
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
How will this internship contribute to the development of his/her knowledge, skills & abilities?
Being consistently involved with accounting activities, preparing journal entry and reconciliation support. Assessing proper treatment of transactions, assisting with general ledger-related projects in a corporate environment, this will gain practical experience and provide an opportunity to put theoretical accounting knowledge to practice.
