Job Description:


Provide presale and post-sale field sales support including onsite customer visits to demonstrate, problem solve, and select a solution on all aspects of the product line.
Manage significant customer projects including acting as liaison with vendor and customer engineering.
Assist field sales, engineering, and customer service as critical subject matter expert as questions arise about the product line to support customers. This could include general technical support, troubleshooting, substitutes, vendor obsolescence, or general questions.
Conduct product training for keys customers, engineering, field sales, and customer service.
Support service & repair and value-added activities related to the product line (i.e. technical support, prebuild kits, assemble-to-order planning, sourcing, etc.).
Maintain strong working knowledge and relationships with vendors and top customers including product lifecycle, field testing and tracking, and obtaining samples from vendor.
Develop and keep current tools to support field sales, engineering, and customer service to efficiently support customer inquiries.
Maintain intimate industry knowledge of the product and related products through industry association memberships, vendor training sessions, and vendor communications.
Research, understand, and maintain records of competitive offerings in our territories.
Communicate internal new vendor product introductions or changes.
Identify potential gaps in product or related product offering limiting our ability to provide solutions to our customers.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of all vendors online presence and selection tools.
Support Global Master Data and Marketing as subject matter expert related to product information management and promotional activities.

Role Requirements:


Minimum 5-7 years experience in the industrial gearing industry
Proficiency in and ability to explain knowledge of Bearings and/ or Mechanical Power Transmission products (including, but not limited to, gearboxes, motors, motor controls drives, engineered chain)
Proven experience identifying customer needs
Proven customer-centric approach, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements and satisfaction
Ability to work closely with sales teams, engineers, and other departments to achieve common goals
Ability to present technical information to diverse audiences, including customers and colleagues
Ability to travel on a regular basis to customer sites within the assigned territory.
Ability to travel overnight approximately 30-40% of the time (2 nights per week, on average)
Willingness to learn and adapt to market trends
Proficient and disciplined in productive time management
Proven sense of urgency and accountability
Excellent customer relationship building skills.
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office programs
A Strong "team attitude" with the ability to work productively in group settings with other associates, customers, and vendors.
A commitment to the concept of "doing it right the first time".
Valid Driver's License
