Responsibilities

Performs mission/program-specific spacecraft/satellite flight operations support during OPIR system readiness, execution and evaluation phases. Develops plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, and command, and control of on-orbit satellites. Provides technical direction for on-orbit mission support, plans for mitigating critical vehicle malfunctions, and recommends alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support. Assesses performance and provides failure analysis of orbiting satellites via telemetry data. Utilizes system software to accomplish spacecraft control tasks and recommends improvements. Analyzes and validates software performance. Performs flight length orbit adjust and daily special event studies.

Qualifications

Required:

- Mininum of 5 years of related professional experience.
- Bachelors in science and technology related disciplines such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Cyber Security or related discipline.
- Experience as a Systems and/or Software Engineer in satellite systems can be accepted in lieu of a STEM degree.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team in a technical environment.

- Proficiency with one or more software languages: MATLAB, Python, C++, Java, or Software/Hardware Modeling- Understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts, pertaining to networks, data communications, RF antenna, and hardware infrastructur.

Desired:

-Previous direct SBIRS Experience

-Previous experience demonstrating a proficiency and knowledge in SBIRS spacecraft bus and payload commanding and operations.

- Demonstrated ability to rapidly resolve critical/complex technical or operational problems, and/or space system anomalies.

- Proficiency in one or more software skills: C, C++, Java, XML, Windows, .NET, and UNIX, system software and scripting, Java, web development, System analysis, System design, Software Design, Software Development and Implementation, Software Test or Cyber Security.

- GEOINT, MASINT Experience

- Space Situational Awareness Experience

- Experience implementing software and systems using Agile Development Methodologies

Clearance Requirements:

TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI)
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
