The ISSO will work in the Program Office and provide planning and acquisition of cost-effective, long-term critical U.S. Air Force capabilities in an Integrated Product Team structure.

Responsibilities

* The ISSO will provide direct advisory and assistance support (A&AS) to U.S. Air Force customers in a U.S. Air Force Program Office.
* The ISSO will work side by side with customers and other A&AS contractors in the Program Office.
* The ISSO will be working with the customer, and interface with major defense contractors who supply critical defense capabilities.
* Majority of the ISSO work will be performed in the customer workspace and some travel is expected.

Qualifications

* High school diploma and a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing full time DoD security functions.
* Active TS Required, SCI Eligible.
* A Bachelor's degree is highly desired.
* ISSO personnel typically perform all functional duties independently.
* DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management Level I and GIAC Security Leadership Certification Security+, or equivalent certifications, and a minimum of 3 years of classified information systems experience working with an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to develop and implement DoD security controls on DoD ACAT I, ACAT II, or ACAT Other programs.
* DoD Directive 8140.01 IS and IA certifications, Air Force Special Access Authorization Tool experience, and experience implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) per the Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG), are highly desired.
* At least one (1) year of security experience in a SAP or SCI environment within the last three (3) years.
* Experience developing IA Standard Operating Procedures, System Security Plans (SSPs), and implementing audits, threat and vulnerability assessments, and applying security-related software tools to manage and control classified information systems.
* Experience managing the configuration of classified information systems.
* Experience uploading and downloading files across classified networks operating at different classification levels, and controlling and recording all incoming and outgoing digital media.
* Experience accomplishing self-assessments using the Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT).
* Experience resolving information systems security incidents.
* Experience developing and critically reviewing cyber (IA) and cyber security documentation.
