Position Summary

This position is intended to expose students to the full payroll cycle, payroll accounting and relevant payroll projects. Experience in these areas will be beneficial to students pursuing careers in Finance, Accounting, HR, or other business-related fields. At the conclusion of this program, interns will be able to leverage their skills gained during the term and apply them to their future pursuits.

Duration: Monday, May 20th - Friday, August 9th

Duties


Timely processing of various records, including labor input from, Kronos and MyTime.
Responsible for coordinating and performing all aspects of payroll cycle processing activities performed on ADP Software.
Provide basic payroll information as required to support management informational needs relative to individual Employees, departments, divisions and groups.
Assist with the reconciliation of the amounts collected and deposited for the employee and employer portion of payroll taxes, (e.g.: Federal, FICA, State, City) to each payroll run, using standard payroll reports.
Reconcile the amounts collected and deposited for voluntary deductions for additional benefits and/or pledges to each payroll run, using standard payroll reports.
Assist with input of confidential employee information required to maintain an accurate Payroll/Personnel data base and Payroll Master File, including maintenance of 401k information for all participants.
Assist with preparation of payroll records for proper storage.
Participate in the testing of processes on new timekeeping system relative to payroll processing and reporting.
Prepare and compile drafts of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to payroll and timekeeping processes, by observing the procedures and recording the details.
Assist with integration activities as assigned.
ADP contains highly sensitive and confidential information which requires this position to maintain the ability to handle all information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Other duties as assigned.

Education + Experience


Education:pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or other business-related fields. Sophomore year requirements must be completed by May 2024.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Outlook.

Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and handle deadline pressures.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication.

Ability to audit and analyze data and report trends and outcomes.
