We are hiring! The ARO business unit at Ingersoll Rand seeks
a

Sales Development Intern
to support our Sales Enablement team in Bryan Ohio. This hands-on summer internship invites you to dive into the heart of our Sales Enablement team and immerse yourself in the dynamic world of sales.





Job Summary:






The Sales Development Intern
will play a pivotal role in lead qualification, ensuring our sales team is equipped with a robust pipeline of opportunities to grow the business. This isn't just about making calls; it's about shaping strategies, refining tools, and deploying resources to maximize sales productivity and effectiveness.





Throughout this internship, you'll gain invaluable skills in sales excellence; from lead qualification techniques to process optimization and collaborative stakeholder engagement. This experience will provide developing and implementing strategies that drive impactful business outcomes for ARO.

Key Position Responsibilities:





Lead Management:


The process of categorizing and engaging with inbound leads promptly and efficiently based on predefined criteria.




Classify inbound leads based on needs, budget, and decision-making capabilities.



Ensure prompt engagement by working through the inbound lead queue via phone calls and emails within a 4-hour timeframe.



Efficiently route leads to sales partners based on region, product, and other qualifying attributes.




Sales Process Optimization:



The analysis and enhancement of sales procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.




Analyze sales processes to identify areas for improvement.



Collaborate with team to implement enhancements and streamline workflows, ultimately boosting operational efficiency.




Content Development:



Creation of engaging resources aligned with brand messaging and sales objectives.




Partner with the team to create compelling sales collateral, presentations, and training materials.



Ensure all content aligns with brand messaging and sales objectives.




Standard Work:



Establishment and documentation of consistent procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in lead management and other tasks.




Establish, update and document lead management standard work to ensure consistency and efficiency.



Assist in training on processes, tools, and templates.



Develop scripting for frequently asked questions.




Documentation:



Organizing and maintaining accurate records of lead status and actions taken for reference and follow-up.




Organize, maintain, and update lead status in the lead generation system.



Review lead status and follow up with sales on leads not acted on according to process metrics and detractor ratings.




Reporting and Analytics:



Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on key performance indicators to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making.




Assist in tracking and analyzing key performance indicators/metrics (KPI's).



Generate reports/dashboards to provide insights into sales effectiveness, identifying areas for growth.



Collaborate with stakeholders to determine countermeasures for unfavorable metrics
.





Work Arrangement and Travel Requirements:






This is an onsite internship located at the ARO office in Bryan OH.










Key Qualifications:





Undergraduate student, at least sophomore level, currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field at





Ability to work at least 20 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week.





Strong communication skills both written and on phone.



High level of organization and time management skills



Listens and responds in professional manner.
