About the Job

This IT Analyst position reports through the Enterprise Product Delivery group's Global Lab Systems (GLS) team aligned with the Planning, Inventory, and Manufacturing (PMI) track. The primary focus of this role is to support the new Finished Goods' (FG) formula life-cycle management domain. The new product area within the GLS team will serve a global user base within the R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations functions spanning the Global Supply Chain and Performance Coatings Group divisions. This key role will serve as a core member of the FG BOM delivery team throughout the kick-off, Global Design, roll-out, run-the-business, future integrations, and continuous improvement phases.

This role will primarily focus on the Finished Good formulation BOM (bill of material) data and ensuring that data governance processes are followed during legacy system(s) integrations. The incumbent should be proficient working with large amounts of data to support the Transform discipline of the ETL (extract, transform, and load) process. Daily activities include working with the business team's product owner, subject matter experts, and delivery team developers to gain in-depth knowledge of the domain and context around the data to facilitate informed decisions around data mappings, cross references, and transformations.
This IT Analyst is responsible for leading the data integration / implementation functions supporting the Global Lab Systems (GLS) PV FG module team.

Essential Functions

Strategy and Planning


Global integration activity responsibilities aligned w/ Oracle Cloud ERP releases (multi-year)
Coordination and engagement with product owners, integration team(s), and GLS Dev & BA team members
Coordination and engagement with technical team (DEV's, BA's and QA)
Work with the product/business owners to define acceptance criteria for testing and approvals
Align and assist the integration team and GLS team with prioritization of work
Coordinate deployment and release activities with the dev teams, business, and end-users.
Assess and execute transformation of data.
Maintain data integrity and hold individuals/groups accountable for adverse effects of poor data quality through partnering with the business.
Coordination and engagement with product owner and GLS Dev & BA team members to develop guidelines and standards for the data, including its accuracy, completeness, consistency, and accessibility.
Collaborate with business analysts and business users to understand business requirements and build functional specifications for GLS technical teams.
Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices, standard processes, and local variations due to customer, legal or business mandates.
Drive positive change and actively engage business management to understand vision and ensure business needs are met.
Align and assist with prioritization of work.

Acquisition and Deployment


Global Integration Activity aligned with Oracle Cloud ERP releases (multi-year).
Handle application deployment including training of end users and documentation.
Work with cross functional teams to deploy Finished Goods solutions to end users.
Manage projects and Implementations; plan and organize tasks, reports progress and coordinates with team members for implementations.
Track project deliverables and meet dedicated timelines.
Requirements gathering to support user story and lean spec creation.
Data analysis and transformation utilizing modern technologies.
Technical & process solution design document creation/execution
Business process and rules documentation.
Assist with project implementation plan/timeline creation/execution.
Assist with documentation/creation of training documents.
Communication with project end users and project implementation site local technical organizations.
Conduct/deliver training to on-site personnel.
Post-implementation support

Operational Management


Define application and process standards in conjunction with business owners and stakeholders.
Understand, setup and modify application configuration as required (includes system setups, user setup & security, site setup, BOM (bill of materials), property and specification requirements, etc.)
Create test plans, test cases, test scripts, and perform functional testing.
Create and maintain system documentation.
Perform data mapping and ETL Activities
Prepare detailed ETL activity documentation to support audit needs (CV-20).
Assist with formula data extracts and data staging/loading activities.
Assist with delta & dual-maintenance activities.

Incidental Functions


Prepare and lead presentations as requested.
Provide communications and updates to stakeholders.

Formal Education & Certification


Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) or in lieu of a degree, at least 12 years in experience in the field of Information Technology or Business (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of Information Technology or Business)

Knowledge & Experience


2+ of IT experience.
R&D and/or Business experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of SW IT systems integration practices preferred.
Technical background in data analysis, such as SQL preferred.
Knowledge of R&D and Operations experience a plus.
Hands-on experience developing and executing, user stories, test cases, test plans.
Ability to learn, understand and apply modern technologies.
Demonstrable experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and designing solutions to solve business needs.
Fluency in any foreign language preferred.
