Job Description

This position reports through the Enterprise Product Delivery group's Global Lab Systems (GLS) team aligned with the Planning, Inventory, and Manufacturing (PMI) track. The primary focus of this role is to support the new Finished Goods' (FG) formula life-cycle management domain. The new product area within the GLS team will serve a global user base within the R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations functions spanning the Global Supply Chain and Performance Coatings Group divisions. This key role will serve as a core member of the FG BOM delivery team throughout the kick-off, Global Design, roll-out, run-the-business, future integrations, and continuous improvement phases.

The ideal candidate will have a full stack development background working with modern technologies, cloud technologies, API development, and proficiency working with relational databases. Additional, development responsibilities will include coordination with the application's vendor (to ensure requirements are validated and delivered), perform installation, setup, and configuration activities, maintain hosted environments, develop system-to-system interfaces (ex: APIs), perform maintenance & configuration tasks, develop & deploy new features/enhancements, and address bug fixes/support.

This IT Developer is responsible for supporting the data integration / implementation initiatives supporting the business's needs.

Essential Functions
Strategy and Planning

Work closely with the Enterprise Architects and the Enterprise Data Organization teams to design, implement, and maintain data structures and business intelligence solutions.
Technical documentation of architectures, processes, procedures, functions, etc.
Coordination and execution of ERP integrations (formulation system rationalization).
Assess and execute transformation of data.
Maintain data integrity and hold individuals/groups accountable for adverse effects of poor data quality through partnering with the business.
Coordination and engagement with product owner and GLS Dev & BA team members to develop guidelines and standards for the data, including its accuracy, completeness, consistency, and accessibility.
Collaborate with business analysts and business users to understand business requirements and build functional specifications for GLS technical teams.
Drive positive change and actively engage business management to understand vision and ensure business needs are met.
Align and Assist with Prioritization of work.
Coordination and engagement with business / product owners.
Coordination and engagement with technical team (DEV's, BA's, and QA).
Provide tier-2 & tier-3 technical support for end-users.
Engage with vendor as needed to support the environment.

Acquisition and Deployment


Global integration activity aligned with Oracle Cloud ERP releases (multi-year).
Handle application deployment including training of end users and documentation.
Work with cross functional teams to deploy the Finished Goods BOM application.
Manage projects and Implementations; plan and organize tasks, reports progress and coordinates with team members for implementations.
Track project deliverables and meet dedicated timelines.

Operational Management


Custom business rule logic development and maintenance within the formulation system's framework (.NET).
Customization to user security within formulation system's framework (.NET).
Customizations to user experience (web front-end) within formulation system's framework (.NET).
Maintain web services to support the formulation system's web interface.
SDLC responsibilities w/ server environments (hosting & database) & application frameworks.
Ad-hoc coordination and execution of non-prod environment refreshes.
Database procedure development and maintenance (Oracle PL/SQL).
API & DIL development to support system-to-system integrations / interfaces.
Coordination and execution of formula bulk/mass change activities.
Perform data mapping and ETL Activities.
Prepare detailed ETL activity documentation to support audit needs (CV-20).
Assist with formula data extracts and data staging/loading activities.
Assist with delta & dual maintenance activities.

Incidental Functions


Prepare and lead presentations as requested.
Provide communications and updates to stakeholders.

Formal Education & Certification


Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.

Knowledge & Experience


5+ years IT experience.
Working knowledge of SW IT systems integration practices preferred.
Technical background in data analysis, such as SQL preferred.
Knowledge of R&D and Operations experience a plus.
Hands-on experience developing and executing, user stories, test cases, test plans.
Ability to learn, understand and apply modern technologies.
Demonstrable experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and designing solutions to solve business needs.
Fluency in any foreign language preferred.

This position is eligible to work in the office three days a week and has the option to work remotely two days a week.
