  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years financial analysis experience
  • FP&A experience preferred, particularly in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, with a self-motivated, team-oriented perspective
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to learn quickly, work on multiple concurrent assignments and complete assignments in a timely and organized approach
  • Experience with data querying tools, Oracle, and Hyperion

Job Dimensions:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for coordinating and providing a broad range of financial and operational analysis activities for the Howmet Wheel Systems Business Unit. This position will report to the HWS Sr. Financial Analyst and ASL Controller and be based in Cleveland, OH.

The Financial Analyst will analyze financial data, identify and report progress toward plan commitments, financial performance achievements and trends, and identify opportunities to influence financial performance. Additionally, this position will support operations, specifically tracking global indirect spend and the global capital budget.

Major Activities & Key Challenges:
  • Develop and maintain standard HWS financial reporting and in-depth analysis of financial results
  • Support the financial forecast preparation utilizing Hyperion
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan
  • Analyze financial data, identify and report progress toward plan commitments, financial performance achievements and trends, and identify opportunities to influence financial performance
  • Contribute to the content and consolidate the BU monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior leadership. This will include operational metrics, financial schedules, bridges, performance tables and ad hoc analysis
  • Manage global capital budget in conjunction with VP of Operations
  • Support engineering project managers in preparing capital projects for approval
  • Coordinate capital approval meetings
  • Work with the Global Procurement Director & VP of Operations to develop and track indirect spend targets for all locations
  • Complete Howmet's Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements. Assist in ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place and corporate policy is followed
  • Support month-end close with local adjusting and re-class journal entries
