Join us for an internship experience that offers real-world project involvement within a supportive environment. At this time, we are seeking a Survey Technician Intern in our Dayton, Columbus, or Cincinnati, Ohio office for the summer semester (May-August). This is a full-time internship position, and you will spend 99% of your time in the field.



The Survey Technician Intern will work alongside Woolpert Survey field technicians collecting and processing survey data. Some projects could be scanning, Topos-Boundary, Photo Control (Fly over points set on the ground). All of these projects directly impact the communities where we live and work.


Responsibilities




Work as part of the integrated Survey field team

Gain real-world experience collecting data in the field with licensed surveyors

Assist with the collection and processing of data for clients

Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence


Qualifications

Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least sophomore status

Be studying Surveying, engineering, construction management or related field

Be willing to work outside in the field in all types of weather conditions

Have a general understanding and working knowledge of various Survey equipment including Trimble Business Center Software, Microstation, and AutoCAD is preferred

Have strong written and verbal communication skills

Be a self- motivated student

Have exceptional multitasking and time management skills

Be willing to travel when needed through the duration of the internship
