  1. Overview of Position

 

Ensure judges and parole officers know the precise status of their referrals at any point in the process. Help to resolve issues in a quick and timely manner to insure excellent service to the court and client. Responsible for the coordination of services with internal and external resources to facilitate treatment and overcome barriers to treatment for clients. Works in close partnership with clinical team and other staff to ensure best client care and access to treatment. Also provide additional administrative support to same-day access assessments for people with opioid addiction and support for other clinicians and leaders involved in our recovery services.

 

 

  1. Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities

 

  1. Improve Compliance for clients with Judicial orders.

 

  1. Improved access to care to help improve client outcomes and reduce recidivism.

 

  1. Increase referrals from judicial system to our system.

 

  1. Participates in the analysis, evaluation, preparation, implementation, and adherence to program policies and procedures for recovery services.

 

  1. Monitors and reports to program staff the status of all court referred clients as they transition into recovery services.

 

  1. Outreach to managed care coordinators to identify barriers to client success and to gather materials needed to connect clients with services.

 

  1. Acts as the liaison with criminal justice personnel and other referral sources. Is the point of contact for criminal justice personnel.

 

  1. Works closely with program leadership in recovery services to coordinate superior client care and facilitate smooth transitions into and through services.

 

  1. Communicates daily with Director of Recovery Services, residential Office managers, and residential Site Coordinators.

 

  1. Maintains an agency issued cell phone for the purpose of providing a direct connection between various court and criminal justice contacts.

 

  1. Responds quickly (same day) to criminal justice requests and utilizes agency resources to overcome barriers.

 

  1. Ensures appropriate releases were obtained from clients to ensure no communication issues with referring agencies.

 

 

  1. Daily and weekly client status tracking and record keeping:

 

  1. Maintains status of clients in jail.
  2. Maintains status of clients in detox.
  • Maintains status of clients who have completed assessments but are not in residential services yet.

 

  1. Assists any and all active clients or potential clients to overcome barriers to treatment through connection to internal and external resources.

 

  1. Record keeping – Documenting client interactions, behaviors, and statuses in client charts.

 

  1. Orients clients to the facilities treatment philosophy and programs, including rules and client rights.

 

  1. All other duties as assigned.

  3. Practices within legal and ethical guidelines established by OMHAS, CARF, COA, CommQuest Services, and other applicable licensing/credentialing bodies.

  4. Works collaboratively with other professions, departments, agencies, client collaterals, and community entities to insure the client and agency’s needs are met.

  5. Utilizes supervision, peer input, and ongoing training/education to improve competencies, and provides CommQuest with documentation to substantiate ongoing training/education.

  6. Promptly reports and documents any critical or unusual incidents.

  7. Performs actions that demonstrate accountability and good judgment in emergency situations.

  8. Demonstrates through behaviors a core belief/value in the fundamental equality of all human beings.

 

  1. Global Competency Areas

 

  1. Maintains current certification in CPR/First Aid.

  2. Must be trained and certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training.

  3. Demonstrates knowledge of HIPAA, AoD and Federal Confidentiality Law.

  4. Demonstrates commitment to professional growth as evidenced by attendance at staff meetings and in-services.

  5. Demonstrates ability to recognize possible signs of abuse and neglect of minors as evidenced by reports to supervisors.

  6. Demonstrates knowledge of basic infection control procedures as evidenced in post test score.

 

  1. Demonstrates competency in responding during agency fire drills, as evidenced in the written reports of actual fire drills or actual fires

 

  1. Demonstrates understanding of agency disaster protocols.

 

  1. Minimum Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or GED; Some college preferred
  • Previous experience working in a clinical practice in the chemical dependency field highly preferred.
  • CDAC highly desired.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of addiction, community sober supports, assessments, treatment plans, and counseling.
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
  • High organization and detail orientation required. Must have ability to show discretion when dealing with confidential information.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and interact positively with a variety of people and cultures.
  • Must be able to form and maintain therapeutic relationships.
  • Must possess effective communication with staff, clients, leadership, and outside agency contacts. 
  • **One of the grant’s qualifying factors for this position is that the successful candidate is unemployment for the past six months**
