Position Summary:

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Lead to join our team in Batavia, OH. As a Facilities Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for helping oversee and coordinating the maintenance operations within a building or complex. You will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, and that the facility remains in good working order. This includes coordinating the activities of a team of facilities maintenance technicians who maintain, repair, and install equipment and/or machinery in a plant or industrial setting. This is a "hands on" role that will also actively work on any facilities maintenance projects. Maintenance-related duties include performing initial evaluations of repairs needed, costs, and assisting with distributing work assignments.

Work You'll Do:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules.
Inspect the facility to identify any necessary maintenance or repairs.
Ensure that all maintenance work complies with safety standards and legal regulations.
Oversee the procurement of supplies and equipment.
Train and mentor maintenance staff.
Consult with contractors and other external parties.
Resolving any issues or problems related to the maintenance of the facility.
Prepare and manage the approved maintenance budget.
Report on maintenance activities and performance.
Participate in coordination of projects (e.g., machine installs).
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment/machinery.
Evaluate problematic systems within the facilities and determine what installation or repair services need performed, as needed.
Any additional tasks assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager.

Team:

This role will be a part of the Batavia, OH Facility Maintenance team reporting directly to the Facility Maintenance Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Effective written and verbal communication
Strong technical skills including mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics; Both electrical and mechanical
Problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
Safety Knowledge: A thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures is crucial, as the job involves working with potentially dangerous machinery and equipment.
Good understanding of maintenance procedures and safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or minimum 5 years' experience leading a team.
Ability to coach, mentor, and teach others.
Experience with ERP systems, JD Edwards a plus.
Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), preferably asset essentials
Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform responsibilities.
Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for coordinating the work of the maintenance team.
