Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo is seeking to hire a Machinist/Fabricator for our facility in Columbus, Ohio. As a Machinist/Fabricator you will be responsible to set up, operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment including a sheet metal shear, brake, saw, and machining center across our machine shop.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete daily work from a production schedule utilizing blueprints, standard work, and work instructions
Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately stated
Maintain quality throughout the process
Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery
Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders
Operate fork trucks and cranes
Identify and implement safety improvements
What You Need to Succeed
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
Ability to work with various machining equipment
Willing to work overtime when required (some on weekends)
