Your Opportunity as the Lead Analyst, Demand Planning

Manage the development and communication of the Demand Forecast through the S&OP process. Direct the activity of cross-functional partners (Marketing, Sales, and Finance) who have deliverables in the S&OP process. Meet forecast accuracy metrics at all established levels.

Location: Orrville, Corporate Offices

Work Arrangements: Hybrid, 30% in office expectations

In this role you will:

Own the Baseline forecast, including the communication of the assumptions to the broader organization

Develop and manage demand forecast at the brand size and item, customer, and DC level

Provide an unbiased view of the forecast based on historical performance, market intelligence, and challenge the assumptions as necessary

Monitor and analyze business trends, identify opportunities and risks, and make forecast recommendations to ensure an unbiased plan while supporting strategic initiatives

Develop new item forecast, including driver-based assumptions and communicate the forecast to Supply Planning to ensure flawless execution

Conduct monthly key customer sales call to gather latest trade activity, distribution gains & losses, and insight to customer and competitive performance

Support Demand Planning initiatives and process improvement projects

Drive the monthly S&OP process

Lead and coordinate related cross-functional activities and inputs into the forecasting models

Communicate forecast related changes, decisions, and risk and opportunities to the Brand team via the S&OP process

Partner with the Brand Managers to deliver the brand story and the business health to the broader organization

Partner with the Supply Planning and Operations team to ensure that the impact of the forecast decisions can be supported

Act as the communication hub between all business functions that provide inputs to the forecast

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree

5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain planning, forecasting, customer order management, business planning or related function

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams; team player

Ability to deal with ambiguity and make decisions on a limited set of data

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor communication to the senior level management

Experience in business analytics and reporting tools (i.e. Oracle, Spotfire, Enterprise Data Warehouse)

Experience with planning system (i.e. Logility, JDA, Manugistics) or others involving planning systems

Experience in business analytics and reporting tools (i.e. Oracle, Spotfire, Enterprise Data Warehouse)

Experience with consumption database such as Nielsen, IRI

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

APICS or IBF certification

Self-starter and resourceful individual

Experience in CPG

Experience with continuous improvement processes
