Home Health Aide

Hours: 1st shift-8:00am-3:00pm, 2nd shift-3:00pm-8:00pm
Wage: $12.00-$17.00 an hour
Benefits: Educational Assistance
Responsibilities:
1. Take temperature, pulse and respirations correctly.
2. Gives client bed bath, tub bath, and shower.
3. Includes peri care, external catheter care when appropriate.
4. Provides skin care according to condition warranted.
5. Gives oral hygiene with the appropriate dentifrice.
6. Cleans, cuts and files client's nails. (DO NOT CUT NAILS OF DIABETIC)
7. Gives Hair care by combing and shampooing when appropriate.
8. Dresses or assists client with dressing.
9. Adjusts position on bed or chair.
10. Shaves patient when appropriate, using electric or non-electric razor.
11. Transfers client to wheelchair, bed or chair when necessary.
12. Assists with toileting, using urinal, bedpan, bedside commode, or toilet.
13. Assists with meal preparation and meal planning.
14. Assist with general housekeeping duties
15. Assist with shopping and errands.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma/GED
2. Successful completion of STNA program or HHA program with out 24 months lapse in employment.
3. Or agency training, along with written and skills testing by return demonstration.
4. Or one year satisfactory institutional or community-based direct service delivery with in the past three years along with successful completion of written testing and skills testing by return demonstration.

☆ NO CRIMINAL BACKGROUND
☆ REQUIRES TRANSPORTATION
☆ MUST HAVE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION CPR
☆ MUST HAVE VALID CNA/HHA CERTIFICATION (IF APPLICABLE)
