Under the direction of the Chief Legal Officer & Secretary, provide legal counsel to the Company and its subsidiaries on a variety of legal matters; prepare and render legal opinions; performs legal research and prepare memoranda on legal issues; negotiate, draft and review commercial contracts and other legal documents; coordinate with outside counsel on Company legal matters, including litigation; assist with government filings and regulatory matters; keep abreast of legislation and perform other duties as assigned. Travel is occasionally required on commercial or Company aircraft.

Required qualifications:


Juris Doctor degree
Be licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio
Minimum of 5 years transactional experience in a corporate legal setting or for a law firm
Knowledge of legal principles and practices, including civil, criminal, contract, employment, administrative and business law and procedures
Familiar with procedures and practices used in the conduct of civil litigation, judicial procedures and rules of evidence, pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes, relevant regulations and court decisions
Methods of legal research
Evaluation of practical consequences of legal strategies
Skill in preparing and presenting effective written and oral reports and recommendations
Ability to develop, and maintain effective relationships with executives, managers, and employees

Preferred Skills:


Prior business and/or aviation legal experience is a plus
