Job Description

The following position is open in the Elgin Local Schools for the 2024-2025
school year:
Position: Director of Student Services and Academics

Minimum Qualifications:
● Master’s degree
● Related/appropriate state of Ohio certification/license; administrative
certification/licensure by Ohio Department of Education and Workforce preferred
● Previous school administration/leadership experience preferred
● Extensive knowledge and/or background in writing and monitoring specialized
plans like IEP’s, 504’s, WEP’s, ELL plans
● Thorough background in and knowledge of K-12 curriculum development,
instructional implementation preferred
● Experience in facilitating and/or providing staff professional development
● Working knowledge of testing and accountability as related to school
● Grants writing and grants administration experience
● Three or more years of teaching experience
● Valid driver’s license
● BCII/FBI clearance
● Negative TB test results
● Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of
Education may find appropriate
Salary: To Be Determined based on experience
Contract Days: 220
