Job Description

Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the Technology Manager in the configuration and operations of all personal computers and computer networks for individual departments and branch offices. Provides technical service support; installation, and maintenance bank wide and ensures that personal computers and networks are functioning properly and are available for the intended uses. This position is non-exempt.

PC Support & Training

Responsible for providing bank wide technology support which helps the employees work effectively and efficiently.

  • Responds to employees requests for computer-related help promptly and appropriately. Uses these opportunities to provide technical training.
  • Prepares new computers so they are ready to be used by employees. Troubleshoots issues with those new computers after deployment.
  • Remains current with various software packages available and evaluate their applicability for use at Minster Bank.
  • Assists employees with lockouts and password resets in various software applications. Also assists with establishing new employees and removing terminated employees from the server and appropriate systems.
  • Troubleshoots hardware issues including printer, fax, monitors and other related equipment.
  • Provides general pc support in specific software programs in the absence of the in-house software expert.

Network Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the Technology Manager maintaining the network operations so that our technology equipment is current and proper maintenance is completed regularly.

  • Serves as the coordinator of the development of the Intranet.
  • Assists in providing for backup, archiving, and disaster recovery procedures for all of the Bank's critical data.
  • Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of network systems.
  • Assist with installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of hardware and software as required
  • Assists with the information security products that are utilized by the bank.

  • Is an active member of the Bank's Technology Committee.
  • Stays informed on the latest technological developments by reading appropriate trade publications, attending seminars, college coursework, talking with vendors, etc.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned from time to time.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education and/or Experience - Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills -Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Operations Knowledge - Understands the operational procedures for his/her position and how they affect or relate to other departments in the bank.

Product Knowledge - Has a good knowledge of the products and services offered by the bank. Is able to answer general questions and direct customers to the product or service expert.

Compliance Knowledge - Has an operational knowledge of only specific compliance regulations & laws that affect his/her position. Also has an awareness level of bank-wide regulations (i.e.: BSA, CIP) in order to recognize suspicious events and, at a minimum, promptly notify management. Relies on management to keep him/her up-to-date on compliance changes.

Sales & Service - Provides a consistent level of service to all internal and/or external customers. Maintains good communication by keeping the customer up-to-date on the progress of a request. Follows through on requests, questions, or complaints. Displays a positive, professional image and maintains composure at all times.
