Administrative Secretary, First Shift, Utilization Review
UC Health is hiring a part-time Administrative Secretary for the Utilization Review department for the first shift at West Chester Hospital.
The Utilization Review Department will support West Chester Hospital's emergency room (ER) and Level III Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required.
Computer and typing skills, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, teamwork, flexibility, electronic medical record knowledge and experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities
Provides administrative support and clerical functions in an effort to promote cost-effective operations, optimal lines of communication, and effective support of various therapy departments. Demonstrates behaviors reflective of the mission, vision and values of Daniel Drake Center and UC Health
Assists in mail/order sorting and distribution, faxes, and typing of documents. Photocopies documents as needed by staff. Collects packets of information for various needs. Greets and directs departmental visitors and patients to appropriate staff members. Arranges tours for outpatient therapy available. Retrieves phone messages and returns calls to internal and external customers as directed by supervisors. Assists in arranging coverage assistance for therapy patient care and contacts vendors, other departments to procure equipment and supplies as directed by supervisors. Assists with basic upkeep of the department.
Verifies accurate charge entry by reviewing EPIC revenue and usage reports for all departments. Enters charge corrections as necessary. Follows late charge procedures when charges entered 5 or more days after service. Works with manager and therapists to prevent future charge errors. Enters productivity data for outpatient therapy departments.
Maintains department policy and emergency procedure manuals. Prepares documents, typed reports/meeting minutes, and solicits invoices from vendors as directed by supervisors. Maintains paper and electronic files for rehab department data and documents. Schedules meetings and appointments with and for supervisors as requested. Assists in chart review compilation for supervisors.
Coordinates all office communication activities including associate pages/all pages, email distribution, and phone calls. Follows professional office etiquette with all forms of communication. Records minutes of department meetings and distributes to staff as directed by supervisors. Serves as communication link between department associates and other departments and staff.
Utilizes Lawson and online systems to order medical supplies, minor equipment, and office supplies as directed by supervisors. Contacts vendor/purchasing department to reconcile mismatched orders and received items. Aware of monthly budget constraints and assists supervisors in maintaining adequate inventory without exceeding budget targets.
