Come join our awesome team as a Maintenance at Bethesda View Apartments in Fremont, Ohio!
Bethesda View Apartments is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.
Maintenance Job Highlights:
* 403(b) Retirement Plan;
* Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance
* Paid Time Off (Personal, Vacation, Holiday & Sick Days)
* Shift: Mon-Fri 8:30am to 5:00pm and On-Call as needed.
* Pay Rate: $21-24p/h based on years of experience
* Travel between properties (company vehicle provided).
* Monthly $50.00 Cell Phone stipend
About the job:
The Maintenance is responsible for overall maintenance of the property. Responsible for preventive maintenance, painting, and repairs inside and outside the property to provide a safe, attractive and orderly environment for the benefit, use enjoyment protection of residents, staff and visitors.
Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 2+ years of experience in building maintenance, make ready units and painting
* Must be capable of using and climbing an extension ladder to access roof, windows, and siding to make repairs as needed.
* Must be able to navigate computer operations (work orders, email)
* Must be able to lift and carry fifty (50) lbs.
* Must be able to perform emergency maintenance as requested.
* Must be able to do general maintenance duties, including plumbing and painting.
* Pass background screening (drug, employment history, and criminal)
Preferred Skills:
* Lawn Care
* HVAC experience
Essentials:
* Make recommendations to Property Manager on necessary maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, and property improvements.
* Repair and paint the building exterior as needed.
* Maintain adequate lighting for interior and exterior of property.
* Schedule and expedite work order request.
* Maintain a clean and orderly storage room.
* Must be capable of using and climbing extension ladder to access roof, windows, and siding to make repairs as needed.
* Communicate with vendors and schedule work needed.
* Safety: Know, follow and enforce facility safety rules.
* Complete required training.
