Job Title: Clinical Specialist

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a Clinical Specialist to drive the success of Gentherm Medical's current product portfolio and new product launches. This role will be instrumental in representing the clinical perspective to our commercialization, sales, and product development teams. This person will provide direct oversight of Gentherm's clinical support contractors (clinical team), including management of the Clinical Hotline. This role will also work to advance the understanding of current and future clinical best practices to help grow our market presence and relevance. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Marketing & Communications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Provide clinical support of Gentherm Medical products, including Blanketrol and our other patient temperature management solutions.
Gain and share knowledge of best practices for patient temperature management in the acute and post-acute care settings. This could include customer and competitor insights.
Provide clinical and technical support for major customers across our regions of operation and sales.
Support the development of product value propositions for effective commercialization of existing and new products.
Support global sales team in assessing the best documentation for bids or tenders. Supports product evaluations/trials/demos with follow-up calls, troubleshooting and data analysis.
Collaborate with global teams to develop and deliver clinical and/or product training for internal and external audiences.
Demonstrate fluency in industry standards, practices, and regulations.
Identify and lead strategic interactions with Key Opinion Leaders (Health Care Professionals)
Interact with academic institutions and support future clinical trials and studies (according to ethics and compliance standards).
Utilize Evidence-Based approach (scientific studies, Health Economics, etc.)
Develop and implement promotional programs based on peer-to-peer interaction for clinical and technical validation.
Provide clinical review and support to Marketing and Engineering including manual/training review, new product usability testing/needs, sustaining product reviews.
Oversight of the Clinical Hotline & Clinical Team:

Manage schedule for rotating support with nurse hotline and schedule field clinical consultant support as needed.
Review, Approve and Manage all Contract Clinician's expense and time reimbursements, per Gentherm guidelines.

Provide clinical review for Quality and Regulatory procedures including Complaints, Field Actions, SOPs.
Participation and support at trade shows as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in Nursing or Equivalent Academic Provision
At least five (5) years of clinical experience in your licensure specialty in a private, public, government or military environment
Certification(s) that could include: CCRN Certified, Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR), Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA), Registered Nurse Assistant at Surgery Certified (RNAS-C), National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certified Surgical Technologist (CRT)
Exceptional clinical knowledge in patient temperature management
Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and listening skills
Goal driven, persevering in nature and results oriented
Planning and prioritization capabilities
Ability to identify, build and maintain good relationship with Key Opinion Leaders
Customer-focus and proactive approach
Ability to work well within a team
Proven experience in clinical education using simulation and workshop approaches
Previous medical sales support experience that includes public speaking a major plus
Demonstrated success in building clinical marketing programs and collateral to drive product/procedure growth
Active member in a relevant professional organization (e.g., AORN or AST)
Advanced proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Three (3) years of industry experience in a clinical role supporting a business entity outside of a hospital or patient care setting.
