We are hiring a Collections Specialist who will be responsible for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts through correspondence, email and phone. This position has a focus on customer contract accounts that have a strategic relationship to Applied.

What you will do:

Maintain our commitment to continuous improvement by improving the collection process along with the quality of service provided to our Customers.
Collaborate with Field and Central teams to determine root causes of issues leading to past-due invoices; implement action plans to eliminate these root causes.
Align with Cash Applications and Finance team - Synchronize processes, find opportunities to jointly support Field customer follow-up.
Manages assigned customer accounts, Reduces outstanding past-due balances to levels at or below targets.
Investigates root causes for non-payment.
Utilize tools (i.e. SAP, BI) to support decision making, and proactively communicate with stakeholders regarding progress.
Collect, analyze and report customer accounts receivable metrics to track deliverables and effectiveness.

Education & Experience:

Equivalent to specialized study or training in office techniques such as collections, customer service, and accounting.
1-3 years Collections management experience.
