We're looking for ambitious leaders to become part of our growing MCC Verstraete IML team at our locationon Founders Boulevard in Batavia, Ohio! This brand new, state of the art facility specializes in offset printing labels on polypropylene for injection molding, blow molding, and thermoforming.

Responsibilities:

Cultivate Safety Culture

Maintain annual OSHA logs
Maintain incident/accident reports
Demonstrate and promote participation in Your Safety Matters Safety team

Ensure the safety of the associates, safe use of equipment and PPE, and housekeeping
Instill a sense of self-responsibility for safety among associates. Assure the safety of the associates and safe use of the equipment.
Develop and continually improve technical knowledge of processes and equipment in order to continually improve and problem solve.
Continually improve the training program for all departments based on process or procedure changes and as required due to technology changes/additions.
Conduct all Regulatory training.
Assure complete and thorough initial training of all associates in the area of safety, process and job performance.
Audit the trainers' ability to train associates by performing mock training sessions to include on boarding of new associates.

Qualifications:

College degree strongly preferred; High School diploma or GED equivalent with experience-equivalent required
Lean manufacturing formal training and/or experience strongly preferred
Ability to work in the US without company sponsorship required
Special training as offered by the Company such as SPC, Craft skills, Team Building, Social Tech., Kepner-Tregoe Problem Solving, ISO, BRC, HACCP, OSHA or related training as needed.
Must complete Trainer course
Machine operation
Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, make recommendations, and present findings
Ability to make decisions quickly that are rational, logical, and fact driven
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required - must be proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (utilization of formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities
Must work according to the requirements for ISO9001, ISO14001, BRC Packaging and FDA.

Specific vision abilities include - close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish color variations, and ability to adjust focus
Wear hearing, foot, eye and/or other personal protective equipment while in a manufacturing setting
Continually stand for prolonged periods; frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, climb and balance; moderate to frequent walking
Routinely use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, and manipulate items; use hands and arms to reach for items in and around the press area; occasionally stoop or kneel while reaching
Medium to loud noise environment
