Position Title and Description: Groundsman (Bucyrus, OH) – Full Time  

Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, and mulching and in the off-season worker(s) will aerate lawns, shovel snow from sidewalks and walkways, salt sidewalks and walkways, maintain, clean and store equipment, and inventory supplies. Use snow removal equipment to clear snow during the winter season. Snow removal by hand shoveling, and by snow blower, salt spreading by hand. Equipment used; snow shovel, snow blower, manual salt spreader. Workers will be performing physical tasks related to the removal of snow and ice. This includes pushing, shoveling, moving, and cleaning snow and ice from sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots. Clean-up, load debris and refuse onto trucks and haul it away for disposal. Snow shoveling or power sweeping of sidewalks, building entrances, parking areas. Sand/salt application. Pretreat surfaces with salt, cinders, sand, and other pavement treatments in anticipation of upcoming snow and ice events. Spread salt/deicing chemicals on walkways, driveways, and parking lots. Worker will not remove snow via operating a truck with a snowplow attached to the front of the truck. Worker will not drive a vehicle. Worker will remove snow from sidewalks, walkways, driveways and parking lots, building entrances. ***Multiple Open Permanent Positions***

Position Requirements:

No education required. Required 24 months of experience in job offered or as Landscaper Laborer, Groundskeeper, Gardener or similar. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. Some overtime and weekends are required. The employer will provide free tools and equipment. The employer will provide free round-trip transport to work site and back from designated location in Bucyrus Ohio.
