JOB TITLE:   Wright Patterson:  Base Supply – EAE General Clerk IV

FLSA STATUS:  NON-EXEMPT

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time Regular  

PRIMARY LOCATION: Wright Patterson AFB

 

POSITION SUMMARY

This position uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps that vary in nature and sequence.  Selects from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures.  Typical duties include:  assisting in a variety of administrative matters; maintaining a wide variety of financial or other records; verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness; and handling and adjusting complaints.  This worker may also direct lower level clerks, which may include supervisory responsibility over lower level clerks.

 

This position requires worker to use a thorough knowledge of an office’ work and routine to:  (1) choose among widely varying methods and procedures to process complex transactions; and (2) select or devise steps necessary to complete assignments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION STATEMENTS

  • Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers.
  • Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages.
  • Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer.
  • Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and address complaints.
  • Prepares documentation for input/output remote terminal for AFEMS.
  • Duty requirement includes but not restricted to the following, manages all equipment items maintained on authorized in-use details (EAID), serves as the Base Equipment Review Authority (ERAA), reviews allowances for adequacy, and input allowance change requests online into AFEMS (C001).
  • Ensure equipment authorizations are maintained within current allowances; process all incoming AF Form 601 equipment actions requests.
  • Maintain a control register and suspense file for all AF Form 601 actions.
  • Prepares allowance and authorization change requests, review allowance change e-mail notices.
  • Evaluate allowance change request and maintain the Out-of-Balance listing (Q10).
  • Conducts organizational visits to ensure equipment custodians are adequately performing their accountability responsibilities.
  • Provide the responsible officer’s group and wing commanders with written status reports.
  • Process Special Purpose Recoverable Authorized Maintenance (SPRAM) assets
  • Make SPRAM custodian files.
  • Maintain accuracy of the Master CA/CRL jacket file for each account with the mandatory items from checklist.
  • Process all Equipment Authorization Inventory Data (EAID) In-Use Identity Change (FER) requests.
  • Process appropriate equipment transactions for deployments.
  • Special Purpose Recoverable Authorized Maintenance (SPRAM) assets.
  • Validate, forward, and manage Table of Allowance Change Requests (TACRs) and assist custodians to submit TACR requests to the regionalized function for processing AFEMS.
  • Perform semi-annual Communications Security/Controlled Cryptographic Item (COMSEC/CCI) reconciliation.
  • Perform annual Small Arms/Light Weight (SA/LW) Weapons reconciliation IAW regulations.
  • Transfer accountability of deployed assets to the deploying custodian and place the appropriate documentation in the custodian file.
  • Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports.
  • Complete work schedules, manage calendars, and arrange appointments.
  • Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
  • Inventory and order materials, supplies, and services.
  • Process and prepare documents, such as business or government forms.
  • Monitor and direct the work of lower-level clerks.
  • Train other staff members to perform work activities.

Skills and Abilities

Education:  High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required                           

Experience: Two (2) years’ working in Air Force Base Supply Equipment Accountability.  Proficient in use of AFEMS in support of the customer.
