Overview

Bachelor's Mental Health Tech
Day Shift - 6am-6pm

Night Shift - 6pm-6am

Highland Springs is a 72-bed behavioral hospital located in Highland Hills, Ohio. The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment to adults, adolescents and their families. At Highland Springs we are dedicated to Changing People's Lives.

Position Details

Support the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the RN.
Supervise and maintain patient safety
Ensure that the schedule/program is delivered consistently.
Safeguard the dignity and respect of our patients and guests.
Track any behavioral changes in patients
Chart patient observations following prescribed procedures and standards
Participate in the development and implementation of patient treatment programs
Intervene when patients become dangerous to themselves or others by performing nonviolent crisis interventions.
Maintain confidentiality of patient records
Transport patients around facility to activities as needed
Assist in the admittance and discharge of patient and their belongings
Perform initial patient evaluations to determine treatment priorities, such as taking vital signs, weight, and other tests as needed
Communicating with staff, patients and their family members as needed

Qualifications

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age
Bachelor's degree
Driver's License with a favorable Motor Vehicle Report
Proof of Insurance
CPR and CPI Certification within 30 day of employment

Experience:

Experience working an inpatient psychiatric or healthcare facility preferred.
Previous direct patient care experience with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.

Previous behavioral health experience or currently in a psychology or counseling program Preferred
