OVERVIEW

UES, a BlueHalo Companyis seeking a Research Engineer to support the Force Health Protection Section in the 711th Human Performance Wing at Wright-Patterson AFB.  The person filling this role will be part of a diverse, multidisciplinary research team with a mission to develop solutions focused on addressing occupational and environmental hazards in Air Force environments.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for leading multiple projects related to exposure assessment and preventative medicine; typical projects may include investigating how environmental conditions impact personnel and equipment. The incumbent will have roles related to project management (e.g., milestones, deliverables, and budgets), to ensure projects in the portfolio are completed within time and budget constraints. This position will have a role in directing program expansion through new proposals and collaborations. Responsibilities will also include directing the efforts of team members and compiling technical reports and presentations for communicating program status to customers and program leaders. Additional responsibilities will include sampling and compiling field data into formal reports and identifying improved methods for applying the data into real-world scenarios for reducing human exposure to occupational and environmental hazards. The successful candidate will be an independent self-starter, have excellent organizational and time management skills, demonstrable written and oral communication skills, and thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

                                                                                                                                     

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field (i.e. Environmental. Biomedical, Mechanical, etc) or a closely related field. Ph.D. is preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Prior experience in project management, including overseeing research teams, is highly desired
• Demonstrable previous experience in technical writing and presentation is required
• This position may require occasional travel
• This position is onsite at a government facility and requires U.S. citizenship
