Job Description

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a 2nd Shift Inventory Control Associate in our Distribution Center for our Columbus, OH location.

Responsibilities:

Performing the inventory counts that are prepared for them on a daily basis
Daily cycle count
Walks to area of warehouse designated for counting
Counts all parts on shelf
Records the number of parts
Performs recounts after the initial cycle count
Recording and distributing clear and concise messages to internal staff
Preparing monthly reports for Inventory manager

Qualifications:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent
This position requires the ability to respond quickly to problems, and the ability to work in a stressful environment
This position requires the ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and managers
This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to follow and understand written and oral instructions
This position requires some computer literacy
This position requires the utmost accuracy
This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing sixty (60) pounds floor to waist, waist to shoulder and shoulder to overhead
This position requires the ability to frequently walk and stand on concrete floors
This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time working on a computer
This position requires the ability to do occasional neck flexions, extensions and twisting while sitting, standing or squatting
This position requires the ability to frequently bend and twist the back
This position requires the ability to finely manipulate and grip objects
This position requires the ability to climb, squat and reach overhead to gain access to higher and lower shelves
Forklift experience preferred

Additional Information:

$18.00/hour starting rate, plus the opportunity to earn $200 a month in BONUSES.
The hours are 2:30pm- 11:00pm, Monday through Friday
